How to play Mini Golf

Mini Golf gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Look at what changes after your first action.

Three original obstacle courses; wall bounces and friction.

Read before acting

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Aim a stopped ball.
  2. Set power and putt.
  3. Wait until it stops before another shot.
  4. Use Next hole after sinking.

Controls

Touch aim, angle/power sliders and Putt. Use the control method described here for this activity. Look at the feedback after the action.

A useful example

A soft final putt can sink where a fast crossing would not. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

The hole accepts only a sufficiently slow ball. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
